My
name is Nicola Scott and I have been at Parkfield Nursery since 2003.
I
am married to Carl and live in Carlisle with my husband and 2
daughters Ashleigh and Erin and our border collie called Pepper.
In
my spare time I enjoy reading fiction books, cooking with my
daughters and as a family we enjoy camping, and walking and
exercising Pepper our dog.
I
completed my Nursery Nurse training in 1994 gaining an NNEB
qualification. I started my career in Childcare at a large nursery in
Carlisle and after a career break to bring up my daughters I joined
Parkfield.
I
have worked with both the younger children and the pre-school
children during my time at Parkfield. After attending the appropriate
training I became the SENCO in 2005.
I
regularly attend training sessions to ensure that I am up to date
with all the new initiatives within the Special Educational Needs
sector and the wider Childcare Sector.
I
especially enjoy developing relationships with the parents, carers
and children. I love being able to make a difference. When I see this
happening it makes my job so special and worthwhile.
I
enjoy working with all my colleagues and we all work well as a team.
We all regularly socialise outside of Parkfield.
